Once upon a time, I slipped a little piece of romantic fiction into Australia’s history. This was long before Wikipedia, back when you had to do it by hand.

I’m great at concocting harebrained schemes, but sometimes the challenge is finding a really good reason to execute them. For example, take my plan to steal a 35 metre long, 160 tonne gaff schooner from the middle of land-locked southern Alberta and get it to the freedom of open ocean 1400 kilometres away without anyone noticing. I think I can sneak it as far north as Edmonton, but as soon as it turns west, I’m afraid that someone might start asking questions
